We have to face it: Europe has something that we do not have, and that is ancient stone walls. Atmosphyre is making it possible to achieve an authentic European stone wall, which only adds about one inch to the thickness of your walls. You can now have the look and feel of a real-looking stone wall without losing room size. One of the things that makes our panels different is that the spacing between our stones is much larger than the typical stone wall mortar joint spacing. This larger spacing gives life to the mortar as it becomes as much of a focal point as the stones themselves, and this is what truly gives it a European style look and feel. You can also finish the mortar flush to the stone face, and cover the stone with mortar, creating a blur between stone and mortar to create a subtle difference between stone and mortar. We also offer a stain that allows you to quickly add tone and blend the stones and mortar to be uniform, and to adjust the shade of individual stones themselves.

An average-sized wall, measuring around 100 square feet, can be installed and completed in approximately 3 to 4 days. We provide you with both the stone panels and the mortar for the panels, so that you achieve the intended look when the project is completed. Our thin stone panels are applied the same way that regular ceramic tile is installed, by using a latex fortified thinset. We have developed special-shaped keys that help hold the mortar on the panel during installation. These keys are tapered, creating a dovetail joint, so that once the mortar has cured, it is locked onto the panels. These keys also reduce the risk of shrinkage cracks, and they ensure good bonding.
